BARNEY RUBBLE the CHUCK NORRIS of the STONE AGES

                                                                                                                                                                                (Not Just Anyone)                                                                                                                                                                         Who was Barney Rubble, let’s take a look at this man among dinosaurs. He was born Bernard Matthew “Barney ” Rubble. He lives next door to the Flintstones, Wilma and Fred. It was the 1950’s and TV was King. Shows such as The Milton Berle Show, Make Room for Daddy, The Abbott and Costello Show and the GREATEST Comedy TV Show ever hit the air. The Honeymooners with the Stars, Jackie Gleason, Art Carney, Audrey Meadows and Joyce Randolph. The Flintstones is based  Ralph/Fred  Norton/Barney  Alice/Wilma  Trixie/Betty. Barney who on Season 1 is 42 years old, and 45 years old during Season’s 2 thru 6. Let’s take a look at the Rubble’s and who they really are. As it may not be known but Betty could not have children, so they adopt Bam Bam (Rubble) others in the family, Dusty Rubble Barney’s brother, Roxy Rubble (grand-daughter), Chip Rubble (grandson). His dad Bob Rubble, Flo Slate his mom. Note the last name. His Uncle Mr. Slate, bet you never knew they were related, that’s why we are here. Eugene Slate (cousin), Pebbles Flintstone (God- Daughter)- ( Daughter-in Law), and Marblehead Sandstone Jr  (nephew). And of course their pet Hoppy (hopparoo).                                                                                                                        (RESUME of Barney)                                                                                                                                                                   One most asked questions about Barney is what did he do for a living. Well here on the 3rd Floor Podcast we got the info you never knew about or even thought about. Barney had a few jobs, when we first see Barney at work, he is a Furniture Reprocessor. Later we see Barney as a Police Officer and then a Crane Operator. The pilot for the series was called The Flagstones, glad they changed that. Barney had alot of interest thats for sure. He and Fred enjoyed bowling, poker, playing pool,playing golf, hanging out in Fred’s garage, ( Hope they weren’t cooking meth out there). In the earlier shows they were members of The Loyal Order of Dinosaurs later they were members of The Loyal Order of Water Buffalos. Barney was also a talented pianst and a drummer, he is also the inventor of the Hand Powered Helicopter as seen in the very first show.                               (Thank You Barney)                                                                                                                                                                              Thank you Barney for all the laughs the moments of truth, somber tender moments of wife and family and friends. We have learned so much from you, you touched so many lives entertained millions for now millions of years. One last unknown fact about Barney Rubble is that he did his own stunts, this years before Jackie Chan was even born, maybe Barney was his idle. We will look into more of Barney and other high impact Cartoons and their history of sorts. The next time we talk about Barney it will be about when he and Fred meet The Great Gazoo.
