INSIDE THE DEATH PENALTY The 3RD Floor Podcast is taking on the DEATH PENALTY. That’s right we are going too get deep into the Death Penalty and the court room drama and the details behind the crime. Is it Just is it fair is it cruel, well find out and you make your own choice. It doesn’t matter the subject The 3RD Floor Podcast will get into it. This subject has been one of the Nations most debated and criticized in it’s history. We are going to go State by State and discuss hand picked cases of the Death Penalty and the results of his or her execution. Did the Attorney screw up did the jury understand instructions, did the Judge over step his bounds, plus other intriguing details. Not every execution went as planned, (but neither did their victims day go as planned). It maybe disturbing to some but the facts are facts the numbers the numbers. Find out what States have never executed anyone since becoming a State. Learn how a State with no Death Penalty, can still have an inmate executed within the State borders. What is the Law on the Mentally ill. How many Women have been executed and who was the first and why. The research that has gone into this topic is never ending, and I’m telling you now it’s CRAZY shit, I’ve learned so much and I’m not even close to the end. This is why we here on The 3RD Floor Podcast wanted to tackle this amazing topic. Executions have been going on for thousands of years though out the World, but it seems that the United States draws the most attention. Here’s just one example of what to look forward too on the Podcast .ARKANSAS, Ricky Ray Rector – black – 40 – executed Jan 24, 1992 by lethal injection, here’s where it gets crazy. 1981 Rector robs a restaurant killing a man, when police arrive he is in the restaurant holding the remaining people at gun point. Officer Robert Martin arrives and talks Rector into giving up. When Officer Martin approaches Rector shoots him in the back killing him, he then turns the gun on himself. He survives the gun shot too the head. He is tried found guilty and sentenced to Death. despite the appeals and pleas to over turn the sentence all are denied. So the only person that can save him now it the Governor who just happens to be none other than the King of Kill future President Bill Clinton. Oh it gets better the main reason for the motion and appeal to life with out instead of Death, was because of the damage done by the suicide attempt. With one last hope he reaches out to Gov. Clinton who denies all efforts and not only but, still campaigning for his presidential run. Made it a point to come off the trail to witness and oversee the execution.
